On October 19th, 2025, The Seattle Mariners played the Toronto Blue Jays in the 6th game of the ALCS. During this game, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit his 6th homerun of the Postseason. Trey Vesavage struck out 7 in 5 ⅔ innings and the Toronto Blue Jays pushed the ALCS to the limit by beating the Seattle Mariners, 6-2 forcing a 7th game that will be held in Toronto.
The AL pennant will be decided Monday night in Toronto, the second Game 7 in Blue Jays history. The Blue Jays lost to Kansas in the AL in 1985. For one favorite family, it will also be the first. Guerrero’s father, Hall of Fame outfielder Vladimir Guerrero, never played in the Postseason Game 7 during his 16-year career.
Seattle, the only big league team without a pennant, will play Game 7 for the first time. The winner faces the NL champion the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series starting on Friday.
