For the 2026-27 school year, Wellington will be getting a brand-new Sports Academy, combining education and athletics in a 38 million dollar project. The school will serve students from grades 6 through 12 and will have baseball, basketball, soccer, american football, softball, lacrosse, and other sports, which currently have not been released.
It will have many amenities, 10 batting cages for baseball, a gym, cafe, and large, professional-like locker rooms. As for education, the school will have all core high school classes required to graduate, and 10 additional AP classes. The only electives currently announced are foreign languages, but the school claims that it will add podcasting, TV production, and cooking as electives in the “not-too-distant future.”
The school will be near the Village Park area, and when it is finished, it will be 120 acres and cost 38 Million dollars in all. Although the official tuition cost has not been released, it is estimated that it will be around 95,000 dollars a year.
