On January 19th, 2026, at 7:30 pm, the College Football National Championship was held at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. The teams that played this final game in the 25-26 season for College Football were the Miami Hurricanes and the Indiana Hoosiers. With Carson Beck as the Miami Hurricanes quarterback, and Fernado Mendoza as the Indiana Hoosiers, they played the final game in the 25-26 season. 

Carson Beck has played college football for six consecutive seasons. His first season was with the Georgia Bulldogs in 2020. Due to Covid, he did not play for the next 3 seasons. All though he was a backup, he won two national championships. But when he got the starting job, in the SEC championship, he tore his UCL ( Ulnar Collateral Ligament) in 2024. In 2025, he transferred to the Miami Hurricanes and led them to the National Championship.

Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza has been playing for two years. His first season was with the California Bears. He led them to a 6-7 losing record. But in 2025 he transferred to Indiana and led them undefeated. During the National Championship, he had 1 rushing touch down leading Indiana to their first National Championship win.
