
Former NFL executive Jamie Wenston, has become the first commissioner for Major League Volleyball.
The MLV is currently in its third year of operations as one of two U.S. women’s professional volleyball leagues. The Pro Volleyball Federation has teams in 8 cities, and plans to expand to 10 in 2027.
The eight teams that the league features in its initial 2026 lineup are Atlanta, Dallas, Columbus, Grand Rapids, Indianapolis, Orlando, Omaha, and San Diego. The season features top-tier competition, including a 2026 All-Star match held during March.
Previously Jamie Wenston was senior vice president of marketing for the National Football League, executive vice president of global consumer for marketing the Universal Music Group and an executive with a hospitality and live music company.
The MlV also announced Jen Spicher, who has served as president since the league’s inception, will transition to an executive vice president.
