The Charlotte Hornets and the Miami Heat faced off yesterday, in a close, thrilling game. The Hornets barely closed the game out, winning 127-126, but there was an issue. NBA superstar Lamelo Ball tripped Miami’s center, Bam Adebayo during the game. He grabbed his leg, causing a back injury to Adebayo, making him have to sit out the rest of the game.
Many argued that Ball should have been thrown out for this act, but he received no in-game penalty whatsoever. Even Miami Heat head coach, Erik Spoelstra, said that Ball should have been ejected because of the intentional nature of the injury.
The absence of Bam Adebayo, who recently scored 82 points in 1 game, led the Heat to an untimely defeat. Personally, I believe Ball should have been punished for this intentional injury of a player, despite him not receiving any sort of reproof from the league.
