The defending champions advanced to the semifinals of soccer’s biggest competition, The Champions League, by taking out six-time winner Liverpool on Tuesday. They won 2-0 at Anfield and moved one step closer to becoming only the second club in the modern era to win back-to-back times since prime Real Madrid.
Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembele scored 2 second-half goals to kill off Liverpool and book a semifinal match against Bayern Munich. Dembele’s first goal ended Liverpool’s hopes- a left footed shot from the edge of the box in the 72nd minute.
Dembele had also been wasting chances to put them even further ahead in the first half. He missed a couple of open chances, but it is a good thing he made up for it by scoring two other goals. We will see if PSG keeps playing as good as they are, but will it be enough to beat Bayern Munich?
