Disney’s 100th anniversary has come and has been magical since day one. It all started with paper and pen. The Walt Disney Company celebrates its 100th anniversary on Monday,  they are celebrating the 100th anniversary with short films featuring more than 500 characters and 85 films.

Disney has come a long way since Mickey became famous in the 1930s and 40s. Disney grew and grew with films. Then in 1955 on July 17th Disney opened its first theme park in California followed by another park in Orlando in 1971. Disney has grown so much since Mickey first came out and became popular.

When Walt Disney was trying to design the next theme park he unfortunately died in 1966 at the age of 65. He still holds the record for the most Oscars won during a lifetime; he has been honored 22 times. After Walt Disney died, the Disney parks a new CEO took over and films continued to be made. The theme parks were also upgraded. Now it’s 2023 and it’s been 100 years since it first started, so let’s celebrate 100 years of magic.
