Velocicoaster is a roller coaster located at the theme park Universal Islands of Adventure at the Universal Orlando resort. The ride is located in the Jurassic Park section of Islands of Adventure and is appropriately themed after the popular Jurassic World movie franchise. When the ride opened in 2021 the popular roller coaster and amusement park award ceremony, The Golden Ticket Awards awarded Velocicoaster a golden ticket for the best new roller coaster in 2021. The rollercoaster also came second in the category Best new attraction installation.
I think that Velocicoaster is amazing because it features a very good mix of things that you will find on roller coasters with good airtime, fast paced turns, intense inversions, great theming and speed.
The ride opened in 2021 manufactured by Intamin Amusement Rides. The ride features a top speed of 70 mph, a height of 155 feet, 4700 feet of track, a 140 foot drop, and 4 inversions. The ride is also the fastest launched roller coaster in the state of Florida.
