Social Media is the center of the world in the modern years, especially in teens. Social Media makes it easy to communicate, spread opinions, and stay in touch with the world which are all great things but it also means there is a lot of lies and misinformation.
Now you may think you can spot misinformation, but for teens who use social media excessively may get caught by some misinformation. If some information is against their beliefs it may affect their already sensitive mental health.Â
Excessive internet use can affect health in many negative ways. Social media can mess up teens’ sleep making them tired, irritable, jumpy, and more likely to fail academically. Teens being irritable can lead to fighting and attitude while also making their mental health worsen. While teens’ scores worsen, teachers may notify parents to intervene which may make teens feel betrayed and sensitive.
