Fake trees are better than real trees because they cost way less than buying a new tree every year and are easier to take care of.
Fake trees last about 10 years and if you buy a good quality tree it can cost around $120-400 and it is actually way cheaper than buying a new tree every year; buying a new tree for 10 years would cost you about $1000 and more. Also, there’s so much hard work that goes into getting a real tree and also putting it up and adding lights and having to add water to it so it doesn’t die, and a majority of fake trees come prelit.Â
Many real trees end up being burned or turned to mulch. My family friends do a yearly tree bonfire with their neighbors to burn the real trees they had for Christmas, and no hate to them but you’re basically just burning your money.Â
