Non-touch screen computers became popular during the late 1970s and early 1980s. In 1983 they came out with the first touchscreen computer which used an infrared grid to detect touches and were a significant step in bringing touch powered technology. In my opinion touch screen computers are better in terms of efficiency because they are able to be worked with a mouse and able to be worked by using their touch screen.
Touch screens are also beneficial in creativity and productivity providing new ways to be able to do digital art, annotating documents, signing papers, and making presentations. Touch screen computers also provide improved accessibility which offers easiest ways for people with disabilities to use computers.
Some negative considerations about touch screens are that touchscreens are more expensive and heavier making it hard for people to afford the computers and making it harder to bring the computers from one location to another. Battery Life is also a negative for touch screen computers because their battery life can drain faster than the battery of non-touch screen computers. The Glossy screens on the touch screen computers can make the screen to see in bright light because of the glare. Accuracy on typing could also be a problem for touch screen keyboards because for extensive data entry the keyboard and mouse are still superior.

Honestly, this debate is kinda pointless(no offense), a touch screen computer [usually] runs faster, and can already do everything that a regular computer can, with roughly the same price, there are no benefits to a non-touchscreen computer when compared to a touchscreen one (that I know of)
