Josh D’Amaro was Disney’s parks chief but based on recent reports he’s expected to become the CEO after Bob Iger steps down. Disney is deciding on Josh D’Amaro because they know he has a lot of experience already with him being at the company for about twenty eight years specializing in business.
He also led parks, cruises, and Disney products; he is also the Chairman of Disney experiences. Another reason why they are deciding on him is because of his growth at Disney.
Bob Iger is stepping down in early 2026 because he wants a “fresh start”. He has also already built Disney successfully. What he also wants to do is focus on himself and his career, and mentor the next CEO. Disney already had in mind Josh D’Amaro from how high he performs with Disney and how stable he is.
