Jesse Jackson passed away in his home in Chicago at the age of 84. The reason for death was a rare neurological disorder called Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). Jesse Jackson was a civil rights leader that followed in Martin Luther Kings Jr’s footsteps.
He ran for President of the United States in 1984 and 1988, while he didn’t win either of these elections, he was highly praised for registering millions of voters and shifting the Democratic Party to be more inclusive of African Americans as leaders.
Jesse Jackson participated in many protests and did a lot of his own speeches to speak about civil rights, social justice, and economic equality. He was very famous for the way he would speak, he would speak almost like a preacher preaching his beliefs. He was famous for reshaping American politics and diversity.
