There have been many studies that blue light is harmful to the eyes. Blue light causes many problems like digital eye strain which causes dry eyes, headaches, and blurred vision. Now there is no scientific evidence that it is harmful to the eyes but many people have shown various side effects to overuse of blue light devices.
Now there may be some upsides to blue light including boosting alert, lifting mood, and improved memory. There are many ways to reduce blue light intake like using blue light blocking glasses, limiting screen time, and some devices have a setting which reduces the blue light coming out of the screen.
Blue light can block the hormone called melatonin which helps you sleep and without it it can cause insomnia, waking up in the middle of the night, waking up feeling lazy, and not getting a good night sleep. This can be prevented by buying a blue light blocking screen protector which reduces the blue light coming out of the screen and into your eyes.
