Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are renownedly the best soccer players of all time. There has been much debate about which is better.

Many people argue that Messi is better because he won the world cup but trophies don’t entirely prove if you’re better. Yes, Messi has won many trophies as well as Ronaldo has too but trophies don’t prove your skills, the way you play on the pitch is what proves if you’re better. While the world cup is a very hard trophy to earn, many other trophies prove better that a player is doing great on the pitch.

While Cristiano Ronaldo has many trophies Messi has many as well but the trophies are entirely different. While Cristiano has won only 5 and Messi won 7 Ballon d’ors, Cristiano has won the award for ‘World Player of the Year’ 2 times in a row, but Messi has also won ‘Fifa World Cup Golden ball’ 2 times.

While there is still too much to argue for there isn’t a clear winner. While many people will have their own opinion, there isn’t a clear winner but for now they both are the GOATS.
