Nasa has made recent plans to launch an Artemis IV mission which is set to land on the moon. They’re planning to launch the rocket somewhere in mid-2028 to early 2028. There was a recent Artemis II which orbited the moon on a 10 day lunar fly-by. It set the plans for future launches by validating critical technology, and confirmed readiness to land on the moon.
Nasa is planning a Artemis 3 mission to test docking capabilities between the Orion spacecraft, and commercial lunar landers in earth’s orbit. They are using this launch as a risk-reducer or a risk assessment similar to the apollo 9. Its made to verify systems without landing on the moon immediately. The crew for this mission has not been released yet but Nasa has stated they will announce the crew for this mission in the near future. Hopefully, there mission to the Moon is successful in the future.
