The WLMS Cheer started around January 22nd. There are 19 girls on the team.
The cheer team performs at the home basketball games in the gym. They practice two sometimes three times a week. Some of the girls on the team are Elise R., Grace R., Oliva R., Cari L., and Aleeah R. The cheer coach, Coach B, coaches the WLMS cheer team and the Binks Elementary school cheer team.
The WLMS Cheer team performs at the basketball games at halftime, between the 2nd and 3rd quarters. On Tuesdays, they wear blue shirts and white shorts; on Thursdays, they wear white shirts and blue shorts for practice. Their game day outfit is a blue skirt with orange and white stripes and a blue tank top that says, “Gators.” The cheerleaders work hard and it pays off in their performances.
