
After a successful 8-1-1 Season, the loss and tie both coming to Polo Park, 1-3 and 1-1 respectively, Wellington Landings qualified to the playoffs comfortably, the third place team, Western Pines, already mathematically eliminated before the last game, after losing against Wellington Landings, Polo Park, and Somerset.
The Gators started their playoffs against Jeaga Middle School with 2 of their key players absent, leaving the role mostly to Landings’ 6th graders, and Wellington Landings pulled through, managing a dominant 6-0 victory, having the ball almost at all times, and Jeaga had very few attacking chances.
In the Quarter-finals, the Gators played Watson B. Duncan Middle School, still without 2 of Landings’ key players. It was a close game, where both teams had good attacking chances, but Duncan won 0-4.
