
The 2026 Winter Olympics (officially called: the Milano Cortina 2026 Games) takes place in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy. It will be held throughout February 6 to February 22, 2026. The Winter Olympics of 2026 are the first Winter Olympics that are hosted by two cities. It is also the fourth time that Italy has hosted the Olympics.
The events that are taking place in Milan are: Ice Hockey, Figure Skating, Short Track, and the Opening Ceremony. The events that are taking place in Cortina are: Alpine Skiing, Curling, and Luge. The events that are taking place in the Alpine Valleys are: Alpine Skiing, Freestyle Skiing, Snowboarding, Ski Jumping, Nordic Combined, and Biathlon.
The number of people participating in the Winter Olympics this year is approximately 2,900 athletes. All of these athletes are highly skilled in the several events that will be taking place, but there can only be one winner. May the best athlete win.
