In May 2026 I took a trip to Universal’s newest theme park, Epic Universe. I got to the park at 8am to rope drop the park at 9am for early entry because I stayed at the new hotel Stella Nova. The first thing I did was walk to Donkey Kong Minecart Madness in Super Nintendo world. It was a very fun ride but did break down while I was in line. By the time I got off the ride, the early entry was over and I started walking around the park exploring the lands and riding the rides.
My favorite ride was Stardust Racers. I rode it 4 times, 2 times on each side. Though I do give the edge to the yellow side. The wait time was never above 5 minutes and the line moved very quickly due to the good ride capacity. The ride is very intense, has loads of airtime and lots of intense thrills. Stardust Racers is one of my favorite roller coasters I’ve ever ridden.
For lunch I ate at Pizza Moon and there was a long line to get a table. I waited 20 minutes to get seated but then once I sat down and ordered my food when it came it was great. I got a penne ala vodka dish and it was very flavourful. I also had a frozen butterbeer and tried the Donkey Kong ice cream, which was very good, especially the banana soda.
I rode every ride in the park and some of the best are Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, and Monsters Unchained. I thought that almost every ride there was entertaining and super well themed. I especially loved the Super Nintendo world because the immersion is very cool and It really felt like I was in a mario game. Overall I really enjoyed my trip to Epic Universe and highly recommend visiting.
