Once every school year the Girls Basketball tryouts happen where kids with great skill come together to try to make the best team possible to represent landings and try to win the district and make playoffs all with the big goal of making the county championship. The team last year was very good with many good 8th graders. They have lost those 8th graders this year but hopefully last year’s seventh graders can step up and take their place providing the team with skills and leadership
 The basketball team last year was very decent but had a few bad games and did not make the playoffs but this year they have a talented roster and are hoping to change that. Coach Mcmasters hopes to turn things around and turn this team into something special. They hope to beat rivals Polo park and western pines, the other best teams in the division. Along with western pines, osceola, and lakeshore.
Hopefully with a good roster and a stellar team they will make it to playoffs and maybe make counties. Maybe after this year a banner will be hung up in the gym along with many others.
