Sofia Desautel is a seventh grader who is in drama. She is performing as Sebastian for the school play Little Mermaid. I am asking her questions about how she is preparing for the play in 2 weeks.

Q: How did you feel when you first found out that you got Sebastian?

A: I was excited and happy, it was a relief to get the role I wanted.

Q: Do you think you’re going to be nervous to perform for everyone?

A: Yes I’m going to be nervous because there’s going to be people from school, home, and other parents. 

Q: Have you memorized all of your lines and songs?

A: Absolutely not, I’ve had a lot to do but I have half of the script memorized.

Q: What is your favorite line and song from Sebastian?

A: My favorite song is Under the Sea and my favorite line is “She’s got legs you idiot”. 

Q: What’s the costume going to be and look like?

A: I don’t know what my costume is going to be yet but I know it’s going to look wonderful.
