Apple TV’s hit show Severance, the second most watched on the platform, coming second to Pluribus, has been delayed from its original release date of December 2026, to September 2027.
There were almost 3 years between the first season and the second season, the first episode of the first season premiering in February 2022, and the first episode of the second season in January 2025. The long gap between seasons was due to the Writer’s Guild of America strike in 2023.
Severance is about a group of employees that surgically separate their memories from their work and personal life, and have to uncover the dark truth about the company they work for, Lumon.
