Mrs. Eliason is a teacher at WLMS who teaches a Language Arts class and loves to spend time with her family and friends. She loves drinking coffee in the mornings, and loves her job as a teacher as well.
Q: What are you currently teaching in your class?
A:”I am currently teaching rhetorical appeal and connotation.”
Q: What is your favorite thing about teaching?
A:” I like having a rapport with the students and helping them with whatever they need.”
Q: What motivated you to start teaching?
A: “The teachers I had growing up helped me through difficult times.”
Q: What are your goals for this year?
A:” My goals are the same as they are every year to create an environment where the students feel safe and successful.”
Q: How do you support kids who are struggling in your classes?
A:” I try to get to the root of the problem and help them figure out what they need to focus and improve on.”
Q: What are the most important things you want the kids to learn ?
A:” I think the most important things I want my kids to learn is determination and to trust in themselves to be successful.”
Q: How long have you been teaching for and how did you achieve the role as a teacher?
A:” This is my 21st year teaching and I went to college to earn my education degree and that took me 4 years.”
Q: How do you handle challenging behaviors?
A:” The same way I deal with any student that is struggling and I try to get to the root of the problem while helping the student understand that I am here to help them.”
