Ram is going up in prices and affecting PC gamers and hurting their wallets. Ram has gone up by 500% because AI companies are taking up memory data centers. This causes PC builders like CyberPowerPC to increase their prices, if you would need memory or storage upgrades then it would cost you so much more than its original price.Â
AI requires immense amounts of memory/ram, a minimum of 16GB of RAM this is just for local use and not for a big AI. For a big AI that can do the necessary it required 32GB to 64GB. DRAM prices will continue to rise by over 50%, impacting many people who would like to build their own PC. This causes many people to dislike AI. AI is the main reason RAM is so high.
