North Dakota has recently experienced severely cold weather, which is expected to be almost as low as 1°F.
As a result, this weather is creating oil spills. AP News explains, “More than 60 spills and other gas or oil environmental problems have been reported in the last week, according to the state’s spill dashboard.” Due to the oil spills, there have been tons of property damage for several companies in North Dakota. It has also affected the company itself, slowing it down. Some companies are waiting for the spring for the cleanup and some are already on it, facing the terrible cold. Workers are trying to prevent spills but the cold is trying to fight back, causing even more oil to spill.
Many individuals have been trying to keep safe from the extreme cold, warming up with their blankets and hot cocoa. Many children cannot go to school as it is canceled because of the winter snow.
